Our project aims to help reduce ocean pollution by addressing one of its main causes: dependence on petroleum and fossil fuels. We chose to focus on a solution that helps reduce environmental risks linked to oil extraction, transport, and use.

The ocean is essential for life on Earth. It regulates the climate, produces much of the oxygen we breathe, supports biodiversity, and provides food, jobs, and resources for millions of people. Reducing petroleum dependence is an important step toward protecting marine life and the planet.

We propose an innovative and sustainable alternative to conventional petroleum-based fuels by transforming organic matter into a cleaner source of energy. This approach helps reduce waste while lowering environmental impact.

This solution is designed to benefit marine ecosystems in the Argentine Sea, ocean wildlife, and coastal environments, while also supporting communities, industries, and societies that depend on energy sources in their daily lives.

We researched the importance of the ocean, identified the main threats to marine ecosystems in the Argentine Sea, studied the environmental impact of petroleum use, explored sustainable alternatives, and designed a solution based on converting organic matter into biofuel.
